Beathe-Jeanette Lunde Overseeing Carlson’s Responsible Business Initiative

MINNETONKA, MINN.—Beathe-Jeanette Lunde was named executive vice president of human resources for Carlson Hotels, The Americas in December 2009. In her new position at Carlson Hotels, Lunde leads the company’s responsible business initiative, human resources, people development, internal communications, and safety and security. She reports directly to Thorsten Kirschke, executive vice president and chief operating officer, Carlson Hotels, The Americas.

A senior executive with hotel industry experience in several managerial and corporate roles, Lunde came to Carlson Hotels from The Rezidor Hotel Group, based in Brussels, Belgium, where she was senior vice president of people development and Radisson Blu franchise operations since 2006. Prior to that, she was vice president of people and operational development. She was vice president of franchise operations, responsible for franchise services to all of the franchised hotels in Rezidor’s portfolio, which included 70 hotels in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and vice president of human resources.

In addition, Lunde served in several human resources and management positions for the Radisson SAS Globetrotter Hotel in Copenhagen, the Radisson Portman Hotel in London and SAS International Hotels in Brussels. She also gained extensive international hotel industry experience at SAS Royal Hotel in Stavanger, Norway.

Lunde studied business, hotel management and personnel administration in Norway, England and the United Kingdom, where she attended Heriot Watt University—Edinburgh Business School in Scotland.
