NEW YORK—The Carbon Free Meeting Coalition announced two new programs aimed at expanding the use of green meeting technologies within corporations, businesses and organizations of all sizes. Both programs were developed to assist companies interested in rolling out new technologies that serve to reduce their carbon footprint while reducing bottom line costs.

Based on feedback obtained from organizations of all sizes across the country, the two new programs—the Kick-Start Clinic and Sustain to Save Program—focus on difficulties organizations are having in successfully launching, and then sustaining, such programs to ensure their full impact, value and potential are recognized across an enterprise. The two new programs are available free to Carbon Free Meeting Coalition members.

The Carbon Free Meeting Coalition Kick-Start Clinic focuses on how companies can very quickly begin to utilize advanced communication technologies in their office environments—as well as within satellite and home office locations—to reduce their carbon footprint to become more environmentally efficient and effective. Among other things, the Kick Start program helps companies review opportunities and alternatives available to them, assists in locating providers and solutions and provides a detailed plan on how to initially introduce such programs successfully within the organization.

Measurement, Tracking Assistance

The Coalition’s Sustain to Save program furthers the value of the Kick-Start Clinic by working directly with companies to help them maintain and grow the value of these programs over the long term by illustrating how best to create employee interest, understanding and—most importantly—use all types of green meeting initiatives. The Sustain to Save program also provides organizations with information on how best to measure, track and report the value of green initiatives—both in terms of environmental and sustainable energy value as well as in time and cost.

“The Carbon Free Meeting Coalition works tirelessly on behalf of our membership to provide information and develop programs that serve to further increase their use of advanced visual communications, web collaboration and cutting edge audio conferencing technologies as part of their Going Green initiatives,” stated Stu Gold, founder and executive director of the Carbon Free Meeting Coalition. “With the launch of the Kick-Start Clinic and the Sustain to Save Program, the Coalition is now able to directly assist our membership with two of the more difficult issues they often have when attempting to launch and maintain their energy reduction efforts.”
