WASHINGTON, D.C.—The U.S. EPA’s Green Power Partnership program is accepting applications for the Green Power Leadership Awards. The awards recognize top organizations, programs and individuals who significantly advance the development of green power sources. The 2016 application period will close on April 18. Winners will be announced at the Renewable Energy Markets Conference in San Francisco on October 17. EPA co-sponsors the awards with the Center for Resource Solutions.
“Green power adoption is increasingly a make or break component of any carbon reduction strategy,” says Melissa Klein, the EPA’s Green Power Partnership Communications Director. “So recognizing green power leaders and sharing their solutions is essential to the development of renewable energy markets. The Green Power Leadership Awards is an important opportunity to recognize the leading actions of top organizations, programs and individuals. The award categories include Excellence in Green Power Use, Green Power Partner of the Year, Sustained Excellence in Green Power, Direct Project Engagement and a Green Power Community of the Year.”
