CINCINNATI—Attendee registration is underway for Boutique Design New York (BDNY), the award-winning trade fair and conference tailored exclusively to hospitality design professionals. The event will be held November 8 to 9 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.

Now in its sixth year, BDNY has seen double-digit growth each year since its 2010 debut. This year the trade fair will expand to 600+ manufacturers and marketers in 80,000 square feet of exhibit space, and welcome more than 5,000 attendees.

BDNY’s dramatic growth has been recognized by Trade Show Executive magazine’s annual Fastest 50 Awards & Summit for the past three years. At the awards event held in May honoring the fastest-growing shows of 2014, BDNY also received Grand Awards for Highest Growth in Exhibit Space, which grew 59.7 percent; Highest Growth in Number of Exhibiting Companies, which increased by 56.3 percent; and Growth Leader in Blended Average Percentage Growth, which grew an average 46 percent in all three metrics: net square feet, exhibitors and attendance.

BDwest Also Fast Growing

Sister trade fair Boutique Design West (BDwest), launched in 2013 to serve the West Coast hospitality design market, has also earned TSE Fastest 50 honors for growth in both exhibitor and attendee participation.

Michelle Finn, President of Hospitality Media Group (HMG), which produces both trade fairs, attributes their sustained growth in part to the morphing of “boutique” from a hotel category to a general and widely adopted state of mind in the design of hospitality interiors.

“Even our trade fairs are ‘boutique’ in nature,” Finn said, “with unique, inspiring components that deliver the element of surprise, an emphasis on design and creativity, and a higher level of personalized service. It’s a concept that’s resonating with both designers/specifiers and manufacturers, and word is spreading quickly.”

Adjacent to HX: The Hotel Experience

Held concurrently with HX: The Hotel Experience (HX), formerly the International Hotel, Motel and Restaurant Show (IHMRS), the BDNY trade fair combines inventive elements for hospitality interiors with signature educational and social events, unique designed spaces created by leading hospitality design firms, and an extensive conference program developed by the editors of Boutique Design.

New for 2015, the BDNY fee structure includes an exhibits-only registration fee of $50 ($30 through October 12); a full BDNY conference pass for $175, which includes access to BDNY and HX exhibits; and a one-day pass for $100. Registration for individual CEU-accredited sessions is $50 per session.

Ticketed events include the ISHP Annual Fundraiser and BDNY Opening Reception on Saturday, November 7; the Boutique Design Power Players: Women Leaders in Hospitality breakfast & panel discussion on Monday, November 9; and the 35th Gold Key Awards Gala on Monday evening at the Waldorf Astoria, NYC.
