NEW YORK—Leading textile manufacturer Carnegie introduces the vibrant Roy G. Biv textile collection. The collection spans the full spectrum with high performance upholstery and digitally printed wide width sheers that celebrate color.

Upholstery patterns Buzz, Chroma and Spark are about clear bright color and the interplay of vibrant patterns against a super saturated background. Buzz offers vivid flashes of color across a saturated backdrop.

Chroma’s modern mid-scale geometric pattern practically pops off the fabric’s background. Elements of this structured pattern are woven in a textural boucle yarn enhancing its dimensional effect.

Spark is a versatile playful geometric. It makes graphic statement on its own but is subtle enough to work well as a coordinate. The clear bright pops of color activate the youthful spirit of Spark.

Mohair is one of the most luxurious yet functional fabrics in the marketplace. With 36 rich colors to choose from, Aria offers a solution for every scheme. A super soft hand belies the extreme durability of this performance upholstery which exceeds 150,000 double rubs. Aria is a combination of dense V Weave construction resulting in significantly less crushing then the typical mohair.

Use of Recycled Polyester

Hashtag is a classic texture amped up with fresh acid tones. The heathered wool look adds to the rich dimensional quality of the textile. The yarn utilized for Hashtag is produced, dyed, woven and finished in North Carolina yielding a smaller carbon footprint while over half the contents are post-consumer recycled polyester. Additionally, when fabricated over a panel Hashtag is acoustically transparent with an NRC of 0.05.

Alchemy and Herba wide width window sheers exemplify the breadth of digital printing technology. Alchemy personifies its definition: a seemingly magical process of transformation. This variegated wide width digitally printed sheer morphs with motion displaying a spectrum of colors that shimmer and change. Alchemy is informed by iridescence found in nature and executed with digital printing technology specifically developed to cover the entire 118” width of the sheer.

Creation Baumann of Switzerland brings the outside in with stylized natural elements that explore the interplay of clarity and haziness. Herba exemplifis the range of design possible through digital printing. In the same drop is perfectly rendered photo realistic leaves and branches that dissolve into a veil of hazy sheer color.

“We find ourselves invigorated and inspired by the colors that surround us,” says Mary Holt, EVP Design for Carnegie. “The juxtaposition of industrial, raw and natural materials for hard surfaces against bold exhilarating color is a trend we have been tracking. Roy G. Biv addresses this trend and celebrates vibrant and energetic color at its very best.”
