NEW YORK—Dometic Group announced that it will exhibit its DM50 at the HX: The Hotel Experience expo in New York City, November 8 to 10. The DM50 is the world’s first drawer minibar designed to operate silently and provide an array of luxury features to both enhance guests’ in-room experience while saving energy for the hotel. Show participants can see the DM50 at Booth #1936.

“Dometic stands as a pioneer in developing versatile, silent-running minibars and our DM50 represents the very top of our class,” said Fatiha Babou, Business Leader Lodging Americas for Dometic Group. “With the DM50, we have developed a product that has set the standard in the minibar industry. It offers convenience and easy viewing of contents for guests, and at the same time meets the most demanding room design and architectural requirements for our hospitality providers.”

With a 45-liter capacity, the DM50 minibar features adjustable interior shelving and dividers to support food and beverage selections. Its unique design—which offers an unobstructed view of all contents—ensures that refreshments are visible at a glance and easily accessible. The unit also includes an interior LED light to assist in the visibility of products that the hotel is offering. To draw guests’ attention to the minibar, the DM50 comes in two different exterior options—the DM50D equipped with Dometic’s black décor panel and silver pull handle, or the DM50F, which allows designers and furniture manufacturers to build their own front onto the unit and match the rest of the guestroom aesthetic. A lock kit is also optional on either version.

“As with all our hospitality products, the DM50 was developed with guest comfort as our highest priority,” said Doug Curtis, V.P. of Marketing, Dometic Americas. “Its silent operation ensures that guestrooms are quiet and restful while the easy-open drawer design lends an atmosphere of luxury and convenience that can help foster guest loyalty.”

In addition to fostering customer loyalty and satisfaction, the DM50 also helps to reduce operating costs. The completely silent DM50 uses 0.38kwH/24h, the lowest energy consumption in its category. It also features automatic defrost and a self-closing door, both of which help to improve the unit’s performance and minimize energy loss.
