DES PLAINES, ILL.—The Geberit Monolith floor-mount toilet was chosen as the Best New Product for 2014 at the recent meeting of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), New Jersey Chapter.

“We are honored that Geberit Monolith was voted ‘best’ by professional designers attending the ASID show,” says John Fitzgerald, Vice President of Marketing for Geberit North America. “It is especially gratifying to know that our efforts to design and introduce new bathroom products that promote high design, value and economy are recognized by the design industry. We are proud to be part of ASID and their commitment to the profession.”

In a ceremony on the trade show floor, ASID New Jersey Trade Show Chair Michael Mariotti and Trade Show Co-chair Keith Drucks of Wolf-Gordon Design presented the award to Kelley Debetta, Geberit Technical Product Presenter and Morris Platsky of Platsky Company Inc., an independent Geberit Sales Representative.

Design Fits Almost Any Situation

The new Monolith floor-mount toilet from Geberit alters the look of the toilet while offering all the advantages of Geberit in-wall systems. Monolith’s modern design makes a bold statement and adapts to almost any construction situation.

As a slim and attractive alternative to a typical toilet tank, Monolith is designed to connect to existing drainage and water supply connections, so no structural modifications are ordinarily required.

Clad in highly polished safety glass, the Monolith housing hides the toilet tank, as well as the fill and flush valves, for a sleek, modern look. The Monolith carrier system is secured to the wall and can be used in virtually any bathroom remodel. Showcasing the latest water-conserving technology, Monolith uses a dual-flush mechanism that is built into the top of the housing. The system’s large and small levers offer two water-saving flush choices: 1.6 GPF (6 LPF) for solid waste and 0.8 GPF (3 LPF) for liquid waste. Monolith’s modular structure is made of high-quality materials, such as safety glass and brushed metal, and is available in black or white. All valves are easily accessible for simple maintenance.
