MINNEAPOLIS—The Hilton Minneapolis has doubled its inventory of hypoallergenic rooms by PURE Solutions to create an allergy-friendly floor inside the hotel. PURE Rooms are treated according to a patented seven-step process that kills and protects against 98 to 100 percent of viruses, bacteria and other airborne particles. PURE technology creates a room that is more comfortable for asthma and allergy-sufferers.
The Hilton Minneapolis installed an initial phase of PURE Rooms in May 2012. The rooms have proven so popular with guests that the hotel has added a second phase that brings the total number of rooms to 42 and designates the entire 14th floor as an allergy-friendly zone.
“The decision to create an entire allergy-friendly floor at the Hilton Minneapolis is a significant one,” said Brian Brault, CEO of PURE Solutions. “This investment will enable the hotel to provide an enhanced hypoallergenic experience for even more guests with asthma and allergies.”
Hotel general manager John Luke cites health and sustainability as top priorities at the Hilton Minneapolis, from the hotel’s progressive environmental initiatives to its state-of-the-art fitness center.

Connected to the Minneapolis Convention Center and boasting 77,000 square feet of meeting space, the Hilton Minneapolis is also a destination for business travelers, a group with which PURE Rooms are especially popular.
Luke also noted the importance of an allergy-friendly room for families traveling with children. “Whether visitors to Minneapolis are in town for business, an event or to explore downtown, we want to provide healthy options and the most comfortable stay possible,” he said.
