BEACON FALLS, CONN.—Lanier Bone has been named the new Project and Sales Support Engineer for Lavatec Laundry Technology. Bone, who has 17 years of industrial laundry services experience as a sales engineer and general manager, will be based at the corporate office in Beacon Falls, Conn. and reports to LLT President Mark Thrasher.

After serving as a general manager for companies since 2007, Bone is returning to his original roots. He began his laundry career as a sales engineer for Gartner Systems USA, and later at Jensen USA before moving into the GM position with Crothall Laundry Services.

Bone next became the GM for Sodexo USA where he operated a 40,000 square-foot facility that was responsible for over 17 million pounds of healthcare linen while servicing six hospital units in upstate South Carolina. Most recently he was GM for Isothermal Textile Services, an industrial healthcare laundry where he directed a team that served 12 hospitals and senior care facilities in Spindale, N.C.

Bone said the opportunity to return to his forte of layout and design, combined with LLT’s growth in the marketplace and reputation for manufacturing outstanding equipment, made the decision to join LLT an easy one.

“Having worked in laundry management for several years, I’m planning to establish myself as a premier design engineer and help LLT strengthen their reputation for having the best layout and system solutions in the industry,” said Bone. “One of the first things I’ll be working on is to have the ability to model drawings in 3-D. It will give our customers and prospects a better visual representation to help bring a concept to reality.”
