Maytag Commercial Welcomes Two New Team Members

ST. JOSEPH, MICH.—Maytag Commercial Laundry recently welcomed two new team members—Dawn Marie Smith, marketing manager, and Eric DeJong, senior product manager.  
 
“Dawn and Eric are proven leaders who will help us grow our business through their strategic product and marketing efforts,” said Bob English, general manager at Maytag Commercial Laundry. “With extensive industry-related experience, we are better poised to support our customers and our robust commercial laundry product portfolio.”
 
Smith has held a variety of successful roles in sales, brand, merchandising and product development since joining Whirlpool. In her new role, she will lead the Maytag Commercial brand strategy, development and execution of PR and key influencer strategies. She has long demonstrated the ability to navigate within multi-level organizations, while crafting successful marketing strategies and fostering brand value. Smith holds a bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University.
 
DeJong joins Maytag Commercial Laundry after 12 years in residential brand marketing, product category management, professional sales and sales enablement at Whirlpool Corp. His most recent position was brand manager for Whirlpool brand, and before that, he was a product category manager for top-load washers. In his new job, DeJong will be in charge of all Maytag Commercial Laundry new product development. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Calvin College.
