BUFFALO, N.Y.—Kana Hotels, an award-winning development and management group, and PURE Solutions, the provider of allergy-friendly hotel rooms, have teamed up to make travel easier for people with asthma and allergies.
Over the past six months, three of Kana’s Embassy Suites hotels—Jackson (Miss.), Knoxville West (Tenn.) and Birmingham-Hoover (Ala.)—have each installed 10 hypoallergenic PURE Rooms, with more Kana properties slated to follow suit by the end of the year.
PURE hotel rooms are treated according to a patented seven-step process that kills and protects against 98 to 100 percent of viruses, bacteria and other harmful airborne particles. PURE Rooms create a hypoallergenic space that is more comfortable for allergy-sufferers.

‘Ideal Opportunity’ to Showcase PURE Rooms

Kana’s Embassy Suites in Jackson and Birmingham are both Design Option III properties that offer guests the same amenities as a traditional Embassy Suites in a more cost effective and environmentally friendly design. Their Knoxville Embassy Suites is the first full-service hotel to open in the city in 25 years and will be celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on August 6.
PURE and Kana are both eager to expand their partnership in the future, as discussions are currently underway to bring PURE Rooms to more properties in Kana’s portfolio. Kana’s Hilton Garden Inn in Tuscaloosa, Ala., is likely to install PURE Rooms within the next few months, with other hotels coming online by early next year.
