YARDLEY, PA.—Lodging Magazine is accepting submissions for its first Lodging Sustainability Award. There are five categories in the competition: Individual Person; Individual Hotel Property; Hotel Brand; Hotel Supplier; and Other Corporate Entity (Hotel Group, Property Management Company, Design/Architecture/Engineering/GC Firm, Consulting Organization, Finance Organization, Association, or Other entity).
According to Lodging Magazine, the Lodging Sustainability Award recognizes the contribution of individuals, groups and corporate entities who exemplify the meaning of sustainability in the hotel industry. The winners stand as role models whose work embodies the industry’s efforts to be strong advocates for corporate social responsibility in doing what’s best for both the environment and for the business while also appealing to the ecologically friendly traveler.

Award winners and finalists will be recognized at the first annual Lodging Sustainability Awards Dinner. This honorary night will be held on October 29 at 7 p.m. at the second annual Lodging Green + Sustainability Conference & Expo. Award winners will also be recognized on all Lodging Media platforms: Lodging magazine print and digital editions, website and eNewsletters starting in November 2014.
Judging of entries and award selection will be provided by a cross-section of industry professionals from among the expert panelists and presenters at this year’s conference.
