PHOENIX—Waste Management will host hundreds of corporate leaders from global companies, representatives from municipalities across the country, experts, innovators and influencers, on February 4, 2016 at the sixth annual Executive Sustainability Forum in Scottsdale, Ariz. The day-long event will feature renowned speakers and panel discussions offering perspectives on the sustainability of recycling and the circular economy.
“The topic of the sustainability of recycling is one that has garnered a great deal of attention over the past few years,” said Waste Management President and CEO, David Steiner. “It’s a topic deserving of conversation and collaboration to find solutions so that, working together, we can ensure that recycling is sustainable—both economically and environmentally—over the long term.”
“This year’s Sustainability Forum steps right into that conversation and the broader topic of the circular economy, with first-class speakers who will offer thought-provoking, candid commentary and real-world insight into best practices surrounding the challenges faced along the value chain,” Steiner added.
Speaking at the 2016 Executive Sustainability Forum are: Adam Minter, author and columnist at Bloomberg; John Tierney, author and New York Times science writer; Peter Zeihan, geopolitical strategist, global affairs expert and author of The Accidental Superpower; David Allaway, Senior Policy Analyst at the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality; Jeff Wooster, Global Sustainability Director for the Dow Chemical Co.; Jim Hanna, Director of Environmental Impact for Starbucks, and Keefe Harrison, Executive Director of The Recycling Partnership.
Discussions will be moderated by Dana Perino, former White House Press Secretary and now co-host of The Five on Fox News Channel, and Meghan Stasz, Senior Director of the Grocery Manufacturers Assn.
