WILDER, KY.—Zenith Motors LLC, an Alternative Fuel Conversion Manufacturer, announced that Zenith Electric Vans are CARB approved and now eligible for the California HVIP Hybrid Truck & and Bus Voucher. This voucher program is to help introduce fleet operators to sustainable truck and bus solutions. HVIP accomplishes this by reducing incremental cost of hybrid and electric vehicles.
Fleet owners that operate Class 2 or Class 3 shuttle vans in California can apply for funding to purchase an all-Electric Zenith Shuttle Van. The HVIP voucher will offset the purchase price up to $50,000*. With the HVIP Voucher and Federal Tax Incentive of $7,500, the Zenith Electric Shuttle Van with GVWR of 10,050 lbs. can be purchased for $41,400, for eligible buyers.

The Zenith Electric Shuttle and Cargo Vans are 100 percent electric. Zenith Electric Shuttle Vans can travel up to 60 miles per hour with a range from 90 or 110 miles per charge (depending on the model chosen). The van can fully charge in 6.5 hours; an upgraded on board battery charger can reduce this time to 4 hours. The shuttle van seats up to 11 passengers. Zenith Electric vans are saving fleet operators an estimated $100,000 over 300,000 miles.
